I may always call the South home, but I do love to travel. I recently returned from a joyous week in Mexico and one goal while packing why stylish but easy breezy. I bought only necessities for this trip and shopped my closet for the rest. I had several unworn pieces from a few influencer fashion collaborations so there was no need to shop for a week’s worth of looks.

One of my favorite outfits was an unexpected one. The day I wore a pleated skirt as a dress. It was so cool in the hot weather and I zhuzhed it up with statement jewelry. Fun!

The skirt is from H&M and is several seasons old, though this style of skirt can always be found in a few stores. This looks works best with skirts that have elastic waist bands that can be tucked under, are midi length when worn at the waist, and lacks structure so it can become a slowly dress.
