Black History Month (BHM) is here! While there will be many events, tributes, and reflections on the history Black Americans have made in the United States, current Black entrepreneurs are making their mark by celebrating their heritage. While we encourage celebrating Black history year-round, we definitely want to highlight those who are amplifying our heritage during BHM, especially during its centennial year.
Black Paper Party, a Black woman-owned brand founded by J’aarron, Jasmine, and Nadia to close the “glaring gap in the market when it came to holiday decorations and wrapping paper that authentically represented our diverse communities (Black Paper Party).” Beyond their seasonal holiday releases, Black Paper Party recently launched their Black History Month collection available in select Dollar General Stores and on their website.
