HausHold is a home goods brand founded in 2023 by Washington D.C. native Christian Richardson. It is a brand whose goal is to celebrate and uplift Black culture and design. According to their website, “Christian saw the opportunity to showcase the diversity and beauty of Black culture in everyday life. Drawing on over fifteen years of design and illustration experience, she seamlessly weaves The Culture into unexpected mediums, creating a unique and vibrant experience for all.”
HausHold produces kitchenware, games, apparel, and more with Black culture weaving through them all. Some of their most notable items are their dinner plates with depictions of scenes from various Black American cultural moments. See below.

Inspired by the visionary Nipsey Hussle and his unwavering dedication to his community and family, this design embodies the essence of his indelible spirit. Modern details include palm trees, mountains, a reimagined “Hollywood” sign, and California oranges woven into the border. We contrasted the modern imagery with the intricate blue willow pattern to create a beautiful blend of the past and present.
