Warning: These are really spicy!

I’ve always been a bookish girl. For a while I was entrenched in sci-fi and fantasy books, but I made my way back to romance. I recently delved into dark romance last year and I’m hooked. What’s great about social media is that many authors are very present on their platforms and show behind the scenes moments of what it takes to write their books. It just makes me, the reader, all the more excited. Here are a few books releasing soon or have been recently released that I can’t wait to read. Warning: All of these books are geared towards adults.

Good as Hell by Kenya Goree-Belle

Kenya Goree-Bell is an Alabama based author who writes dark romance featuring plus sized FMC’s and MMC’s that don’t play about their women. Good as Hell is the sixth book in the Mogul Series and follows superstar Lyric and Prince Hassan Al-Rasheed. Between the pages of this dark romance there is a secret baby, a kidnapping, and I’m sure many more shenanigans. My oh my are we in for a wild ride! What I love about Goree-Bell’s books is that they are all named after popular songs, and like the previous books I’ve read by this author, I know this one will be good as hell!

Good as Hell is now available on Kindle Unlimited with physical copies available for pre-order here.

Desperado by Kenya Goree-Bell

This is the sixth book in the Blood Legacy series and follows Snake, the right hand man to Angel, the head of the El Diablos motor cycle club, and his ward turned lover, Saban. The book will start off from a plot point from the previous book Easy Like Sunday Morning where Easy, Angel’s wife, leaves him and Saban goes with her. They can run, but they can’t hide from their men for long. We know how Angel and Easy’s story ends, but now we get to learn what happened to Snake and Saban.

Desperado is available for pre-order now and has a release date of March 25, 2026.

The Opportunity by T.M. Richardson

Tati Richardson is an Atlanta, Ga. based romance author who writes, according to her website, “Sexy romance for Black Xennials.” She also publishes steamier books under her pen name T.M. Richardson. Both her traditionally and independently published books feature main characters in their late thirties to early forties. One of her goals is to bring older Black love representation to the romance space.

The Opportunity is the third book in the Secret Series that follows Nadine, introduced to us in book one of the series, The Oath. For those that have read the books one and two, you know Nadine is not a fan favorite. The Opportunity dives into her back story. Inside we learn how parental trauma, church hurt, and religious shame can really shape a person. Nadine has been lying to herself, and as a result everyone around her for so long, will she ever get to live in her truth? Read The Opportunity to find out.

The Opportunity is available on Kindle Unlimited.

I have to confess, I already read The Opportunity because I was thirsty. While Nadine really does have some real character development, it was a long, bumpy, and annoying ride to get there (Because how do you manage to frustrate your therapist?), but we get there. Tati did her thing once again!
