If you’re into museums, fashion, fashion history, or just love impeccably made garments, there are a few museums exhibits to put on your radar. Museums across the South have some must see fashion on display.

Viktor & Rolf: Fashion Statements, High Museum, Atlanta, Ga.

Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren proclaim to be fashion world outsiders and refer them themselves as fashion artists instead. The design duo is known for exploring the world of haute couture and art. The exhibit features some of their most famous avant-garde pieces in addition to videos, dolls, sketches, and photographs that connects their design process.

The High Museum in Atlanta, Ga. is showing Viktor & Rolf’s Fashion Statements collection from October 10, 2025, to February 8, 2026.

André Leon Talley: Style is Forever, SCAD FASH ,Atlanta and Savannah, Ga.

The late André Leon Talley or ALT,as he was often referred to in fashion circles, was an iconic figure in fashion. He had a reach stretching from his office at American Vogue to Paris, France rubbing shoulders with the late Karl Lagerfeld to Milan, Italy and beyond. André also served as mentor to SCAD students over the years and was a friend of the university curating exhibits and bringing his designer friends in for talks with students over the years. More than 70 looks from his personal collection will be on view including ready-to-wear, couture, and tailor-made pieces from designers such as Dapper Dan, Tom Ford, and Manolo Blahnik.

SCAD is also offering a series of workshops and talks related to the exhibit. They include a kids designer workshop involving crafting kaftans, a garment ALT was famously known for and a talk discussing his relationship to Russia.

The tribute to his legacy, André Leon Talley: Style is Forever, is on view at both the Atlanta and Savannah, Ga. locations of Savannah College of Art and Design’s Museum of Fashion and Film from now until March 1, 2026.

Louvre Couture, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Houston, TX

At the Museum of Fine arts in Houston, Texas, fashion is positioned as art in their latest exhibit from the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. Thirty six couture works will be on view across various galleries. These pieces from Chanel, Balenciaga, Christian Dior, and Givenchy, to name a few are paired with historic, modern, and contemporary artwork from MFAH collections.

Louvre Couture at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston will run from November 19, 2025- March 15, 2026.
