The Masters Golf Tournament has arrived in Augusta, Ga. It is the weekend prior, but VIP patrons, everyday golf fans, local residents, off-duty professional athletes, and sportscasters from all over the globe have begun trickling in. There are more private planes landing at the airport than commercial ones. While many will bring their own private chefs to provide meals at host houses, there are still golfers and visitors who like to get out in the city. If you find yourself coming to the Garden City for one of golf’s biggest weeks, here are some of my favorite restaurants around the city you should check out when you’re not on the greens.
Support Local Restaurants
Augusta has chain eateries, but it is a city of local businesses. If you find yourself downtown, uptown, or anywhere else in the area, check out some of my favorite eateries.
Cafe 209

Fare- Traditional Southern soul food.
The Treehouse

Fare- Cold pressed juices and vegan food alternatives. Come for the food, stay for the ambiance and art gallery.

It sounds like it’s a lot, but they’ve fused the cultural foods seamlessly.
Cucina 503

This has to be a favorite of my friend group. Delicious food and wine.
Let us know if you pop by one of the above establishments this week!
