I have been a beauty girl every since I discovered beauty tutorials on YouTube when I was in college. I was watch them probably longer than I should have. I am a certified self proclaimed alumna of YouTube University. Over the years I experimented with different eye shadow color combinations and have had shade of lipstick known to man. As I’ve gotten older, my beauty has become pared down tremendously. Nowadays, I usually go for a neutral face with some zhuzh. I have more nude lipsticks and glosses than I’d even thought I’d have and dare I say I barely wear eye shadow these days? So what am I wearing on my face? I’ll tell you below.
Define It, Three-in-1 Brow Styler by Thread Beauty

I bought this on a whim in December while shopping for Christmas gifts (hides face). I need a new brow pencil anyway, so I decided to try something new. I have been using and loving it every since. The pencil is angled which makes filling my brows in easier and it is a twist cap. There is a built in spoolie to comb and blend product in your brows, and a clear gel to seal them. I am nearing the end of my pencil and definitely plan to replace it. The best part is the price, $8!
“Hazelnuts About You” Sephora Collection Colorful Lip Gloss Balm

I saw content creator, Whitney Madueke, post this lip gloss in a Tik Tok video and immediately added it to my list. It is a my-lips-but-better shade and I keep it in my purse just in case I need a quick wash of color and shines while on the go.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Universal Lip Luminizer + Plumper

Everybody’s Heroine by MAC

I love that I can get a baby Lippie by MAC. When I want to wear a color, other than red, this fun purple is one of the colors I reach for.
Bawse Lady by The Lip Bar

If you want a universal red, look to Bawse Lady by The Lip Bar. It is a blue based red that is flattering on so many skin tones. If it is not quite a fit for you, try Boy Trouble, an orange based red.
Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Blurring Balm Powder

This is magic in a pan! I love, love, love this product. It is the base of my “quick face routine” or simply the face itself. I wear Shade 9 and it is a perfect match. The balm-to-powder formula melts into your skin like butter. The best part is that a little goes a long way, so I’ll have this gem in my bag for a good while.
The Lip Bar Quick Conceal Caffeine Concealer

I purchased this concealer at the same time as the brow styler mentioned about and it is a perfect match to my complexion. It is a medium to full coverage concealer and it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin
Invisible Oil Block Pressed Powder by BLK/OPL

I have been a fan of this powder for years and have even recommended it to friends. It’s inexpensive and works for my now combination skin.
